Location
The quiet village of Salto de Negro is situated approximately 15 kms inland from the town of Velez-Malaga and has a population of approximately 150 people. The village has a local bakery just a few minutes walk from the house, where the baker still uses a traditional wood burning stove, and a small supermarket. As the main road by-passes the village only residents and visitors enter the village itself, meaning little traffic noise and easy parking right outside the house. Salto de Negro is within walking distance or a short drive from the village of Benamargosa, which has a selection of bars, restaurants and shops.
The house is located in a quiet back street within the village, opposite the village spring where you can help yourself to the free spring water. Just a few metres away is a lemon grove, which you can wander through, down to the river, and pick one or two lemons for your gin and tonic on the way!! This property would ideally suit a single person or couple looking to get away from it all, and wishing to integrate into real Spanish life.
